Fitters are labor workers responsible for fitting, assembling, and constructing mechanical systems and structural forms by utilizing various machines, tools, and other specialized equipment, such as shears, power saws, cutting torches, etc.
They typically work in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems, but they can also work in auto, aircraft, or manufacturing industries.

We are looking for a skilled and hard-working Fitter to become a part of our construction team. You should be able to understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings before starting any labor. Your duties in this position will also include constructing and assembling mechanical systems and structural forms according to project plans. Additionally, you will perform regular safety checks and maintenance on the equipment and machinery.

Duties and responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans for mechanical systems to understand specifications
- Construct and assemble mechanical systems and structural forms according to specifications and requirements
- Utilize welding skills to fuse structural components
- Inspect structural systems based on local and state building codes
- Set up and adjust machines, tools, and equipment
- Closely examine structural systems and components to ensure they are safe and finalized
- Perform regular maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment
- Discover and fix faults and problems in construction by conducting diagnostic testing
- Replace or repair damaged or defective structural components
- Examine and measure fabricated components to make sure they are the correct size
- Collaborate with the labor crew on larger and more demanding projects
- Keep records of maintenance work done

What education this role needs.
Becoming a Fitter does not require any special educational requirement or schooling. The majority of applicants have a high school diploma or GED.
