Education

Degree first, then the certification.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of financial tools and markets, an analytical mind, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Some employers may hire entry-level Asset Managers to handle small portfolios and gain experience and necessary knowledge.

This is because experience is based on the size and importance of portfolios Asset Managers deal with.
