We are hiring a detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our company. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for providing financial information and support to clients, suggesting tax plans, and advising them on potential tax issues associated with their business activities. You will manage financial systems, budgets, and procedures, conduct audits, analyze risks, recommend preventive measures, review tax forms, and make adjustments if needed.
In addition, you will prepare and maintain financial and tax statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts and forecasts. You will also ensure the accuracy of financial documentation, as well as compliance with tax laws and regulations. In the end, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving tax-related issues and irregularities.
To be successful as a Chartered Accountant, you should have exceptional communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, analytical, and budgeting skills.
Duties and responsibilities
- Liaise with individuals or businesses to provide financial information and advice
- Manage and monitor financial systems, budgets, and procedures
- Suggest tax planning actions for clients and advise them on potential tax issues and transactions associated with their business activities
- Perform financial audits, analyze risks, and recommend preventive measures
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to handle complex financial irregularities
- Arrange and maintain financial and income tax statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts and forecasts
- Review tax forms and make adjustments if needed
- Identify and resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies
- Ensure adherence with state and federal tax laws and regulations
- Suggest and implement ways to prevent and stop fraudulent activities
- Oversee the performance of the accounting team and provide ongoing support and assistance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or ACA Certification or equivalent may be required
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- In-depth knowledge of applicable state and federal tax laws and regulations
- Experience with providing accurate financial advice
- Extensive budgeting and tax planning experience
