We are hiring a skilled and expert Framing Carpenter to join our growing company. The Framing Carpenter will be responsible for framing walls and roof trusses by cutting and nailing lumber. Duties and responsibilities
- Measures, marks, and cuts lumber to build walls and roof trusses
- Nails lumber together to build walls and roof trusses
- Assembles wall panels and roof trusses
- May erect scaffolding or other temporary structures
- Reads and interprets blueprints or sketches to determine the layout of building frames
- Erects roof trusses and ties them into the frame of the building
- Puts up sheathing and roofing materials to complete the frame of the building
- Supervises and coordinates with other trades to ensure a high-quality final product
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Framing Carpenter or related field
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to work efficiently and independently while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in carpentry or construction management preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if required)
- Knowledge of commonly used tools and equipment in the construction industry (e.g., nail guns, hammers, saws)
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime when needed (e.g., evenings, weekends) to meet project deadlines and demands from clients/customers
