Duties and responsibilities
- Prune, trim, and shape trees and shrubs to enhance landscape appearance and promote healthy growth.
- Safely operate chainsaws, pole saws, pruning shears, and other equipment for tree trimming tasks.
- Assess trees for signs of disease, pests, or structural issues and recommend appropriate treatments or actions.
- Climb trees and use harnesses, ropes, and ladders to access difficult-to-reach branches.
- Remove dead or hazardous branches to prevent potential safety risks to people and property.
- Maintain and inspect all tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition.
- Communicate with clients to understand their landscaping goals and provide tree care advice as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with local regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Clean up debris and dispose of tree clippings following each job.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in arboriculture is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Landscape Tree Trimmer or similar role.
