We are currently searching for a Payroll Assistant who pays great attention to detail to join our company. In this position your duties will include gathering and monitoring information on work patterns and salary deduction and additions, you are in charge of ensuring that all records are captured accurately on the payroll software. You will also be in charge of providing information and answering questions from our employees.

Duties and responsibilities
- Collect and verify employee timesheets, attendance, and payroll data.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating wages, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of paychecks or direct deposits.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Generate payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
- Support the payroll team with month-end and year-end processes, including tax filings.
- Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
