Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), or an equivalent degree is required to practice dentistry.
- Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
- Active dental license in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one.
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
- Prior experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred, but not mandatory for recent graduates.
