We are hiring an experienced and creative Publicist who will help our clients reach out to the media and promote their products and services. As our Publicist, you will be responsible for interpreting clients’ goals and needs and developing effective publicity campaigns and strategies. Depending on the product and individual wishes, you will also organize and coordinate special events. Moreover, you will monitor the production and distribution of promotional materials, such as brochures, advertisements, etc.
Your primary goal as a Publicist will be to establish and maintain relationships with various media outlets for marketing and promotional purposes of our client’s products and services. You will write press releases, media alerts, and announcements and represent the company or clients in interviews, events, press conferences, etc.
To achieve success as a Publicist, you must have extraordinary verbal and written communication, creativity, organization, and marketing skills.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan and develop effective publicity and marketing campaigns and strategies for clients
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and goals
- Organize and coordinate special events, such as book signings, concerts, art exhibits, etc
- Manage and monitor the production and distribution of promotional materials, such as advertisements, brochures, billboards, etc
- Establish and maintain relationships with different media outlets to present and promote products and services
- Coordinate with the creative team to develop social media and blog posts
- Put together media plans and press kits
- Represent the company, individuals, products, or brands in public through interviews, press conferences, events, etc
- Monitor social media activity and campaign success and make adjustments if necessary

- Arrange meetings and interviews with reporters, editors, photographers, and other professionals
- Manage budgets, schedules, deadlines, and targets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or journalism
- A Master’s degree is an advantage
- Prior working experience in a marketing or public relations environment

Educational requirements for Publicists include a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
