We are searching for a meticulous Day Porter to join our team. In this position, your main task will be to maintain a clean and presentable appearance of the facility by cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, windows, and furniture. You will also clean, maintain, and sanitize restrooms, common rooms, kitchens, and other areas, restock areas with suitable supplies and equipment, and clean and prepare conference rooms before and after meetings.

Your job will also include ensuring the safety and security of the facility by locking doors, reporting significant issues, and placing safety hazard signs. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation and setting up of events, conferences, and meetings, and provide customer service and assistance to visitors.

Our new Day Porter will preferably have excellent attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance of commercial facilities by performing regular cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting of floors, windows, and furniture
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common rooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas
  • Perform maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and replacing air filters
  • Ensure the safety and security of the facility by locking doors and reporting hazards and significant issues
  • Restock restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens, and other areas
  • Take out trash and replace trash bags
  • Place safety hazard signs, such as wet paint and wet floor warning signs
  • Assist with the preparation and setting up of events, meetings, conferences, etc
  • Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies promptly
  • Monitor cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment and order new stocks when necessary
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of entrances, lobbies, and parking lots
