We are searching for a dedicated and knowledgeable Beauty Advisor to provide our customers with accurate, professional, and personalized advice on skin and hair care. As a Beauty Advisor, you will be offering recommendations, suggestions, and advice about various beauty products. You will determine a customer’s skin and hair type, needs, and preferences and recommend suitable products based on that. You will also be responsible for selling products and operating the cash register.
Your fundamental goal as a Beauty Advisor is to provide immaculate customer service and assistants to customers. You should be highly knowledgeable about the latest beauty and cosmetic products in order to provide the best experience. Other than that, our ideal candidate for this position should have outstanding communication and organization skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.
Duties and responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers
- Consult with clients to establish their skin and hair type, needs, and preferences
- Recommend cosmetics and products based on the customer’s skin type, budget, and preferences
- Demonstrate the product use and explain how it works
- Inform customers about product details and ingredients
- Advice customers on correct skin and hair care
- Inform customers of prices, special offers, and discounts
- Demonstrate different makeup routines
- Sell beauty products (lotions, creams, serums, makeup, etc)
- Answer customers’ questions regarding the products
- Create and maintain an attractive store display
- Process payments and returns
- Monitor stock inventory and order products when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Education in cosmetology or fashion preferred
- Previous working experience as a Beauty Advisor or similar retail role
- Extensive knowledge of beauty trends, various cosmetics products, makeup, and hair care
- Ability to identify different skin types
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
